Renewable energy

An area with great potential for development is renewable energy - including wind farms, biomass and biofuels. Scotland's first wind farm co-operative at Boyndie in Aberdeenshire has raised £730,000 through a share issue mainly subscribed by local people.

CDS and our partners are already working on a number of renewable energy projects, and we're keen to develop our work here. We can help and advise and on community co-ownership and the co-operative business model.
